If your not quite ready to go with the aluminium one, RacingBeat makes a nice light steel one for na's.
Why are you unsure about the aluminium one? From personal experience, its been great, and the drivability of the car has not been affected at all. But thats just my opinion.
Hope this helps!

I have the racingbeat aluminium flywheel, which weighs about 12lbs. Even with my taller 1st gear (I have miata gears swapped in) streetability is not affected at all. I deal with alot of stop and go traffic, and it doesn't bother me at all (either that or I'm just really used to it lol).
I haven't heared about anything under 10 being non-streetable on a rotary, so I'm not sure what to tell you there. If you get a chance, maybe drive someone elses car with an aluminium or light steel flywheel, and see which one you like better.

i am looking in to getting a new fly wheel. i when thru a clutch in under 4,000 miles. i think the flywheel maybe warped. i haven't had a chance to look at the clutch yet. but it is acting the same way it did before when it went out. so my question is there any cheaper flywheels that a re a bit lighter then sock say a pound or two that i can afford on my college budget?

When you replaced the clutch did you get the flywheel machined? It needs to be done on a flywheel grinder so all of the hard sports are removed. Most clutch manufactures wont warranty a clutch unless this has been done. Its a couple of extra bucks but worth it in the long run....... Most stock flywheels can saved by doing this..........

that is what the parts store said when i asked about the warranty. i did it at a friends house, he has a lift. i asked him about the flywheel and said it wasn't need. mine looked fine, after 10 sec of looking at it. so now i want to play it safe, buy a street clutch setup, stage 1, replace flywheel. replace clutch fork, replace master and slave cyls, and lines. it maybe over kill in your eyes but i already have the master. and i don't want this happening again any time soon.
