Flooded due to not warming up, now won't start AT ALL

Ok, i have had PLENTY of experiance with flooding. Beofre i got my injectors cleaned my car would flood daily. But this one has me stumped.

So today i was goignt o finish up my 5 lug swap and a few things under the hood. So i pull the car down from the drivway. I know i didn't let it warm up and i was asking for it to flood but i didn't want a hot engine to work on and i figured i could just hit my fuel cut switch and all would be good.

Oh how wrong i was.

So a few hours later i had everything finished and tried to start it, cranked it for a few seconds and it almost caught but didn't. So i just hit the cut switch and tried cranking again, but instead of it firing right up it just cranks and cranks.

I have now done everything to deflood it short of pulling the plugs and adding oil with no luck (ran out of time tonight will pull the plugs tomorow).

But this is where it gets strange, usually when it floods, you can smell gas, if not everywhere at least in the tailpipe. but i can not smell ANY gas anywhere.

I have tried turning the fuel pump back on, nothing.

Overall i am woundering how it could get this flooded if it was only cranked for a few seconds? just doesn't seem possible..

Is there some other trick to getting it started when it floods from not warming up all the way?

Yeah, though it is either the plugs, or my fresh rebuild, good compression engine suddenly decided to die for no reason. could be but i kinda doubt it, at least i hope not, because whenever this one goes the car is getting a V8 (just because it would be cheaper then a turboII swap).

Yep, that is the plan for today.

Possible, though they were practically new plugs. Will know in a few hours.

Yeah, pulled the plugs and they were DIRTY.

BUT that was not the problem. After pulling them, putting some oil in it and trying again, still getting nothing. I sprayed some brake cleaner in the intake, started right up for a second.

So i started looking at the fuel, ended up being a wire had come lose on the fuel pump relay! Pluged it back in and started right up. Don't you hate it when something totally differnt then what it should have been is the problem.

but i do need new plugs, the oil needs to be changed too, the old oil has gas in it.

Yep, though i wasted a whole day trying to track down a problem that wasn't there. What fun.

Then today i finally got to take it for it's first real complete drive with the new 6 lug swap and wheels and springs and suspension and brakes ect.

Dang the differnce is night and day!

While i was bleeding my brakes though, i had it all done, was finishing up on the last wheel when all of the sudden i hear the resovoir suck air! had to start ALL over again, and i was out of brake fluid to boot. What fun!

But it is done now and i even gave it a bath.
