Flood (The water kind) Problem...

Well last weekend it was nice and hot outside, not a cloud in the sky, so I left my sunroof and windows all open. Then out of nowhere it starts to like poor. The dumbass that I am forgets that its all open, and i'm off to work the next day to discover how stupid I am. Not only do I find the wet as hell interior, but a bird decided to **** RIGHT on my seat....

So I clean it up, and now i've been driving with the windows down everywhere trying to get it dried out. I dried what I could by hand, and everythings pretty dry except right behind the seat is still damp. It seems like it will be dry pretty soon, i've been letting it air out a lot, but is there any way to kill the nasty soggy carpet smell? I dont want it to be all moldy and ****, so is there anything I can do? Also, my leather seats are like all dry and crappy, they were cracked before, but new cracks formed and they are pretty shitty now. Anything I can do to help that?

I'm probably getting new seats soon, so i'm mostly concerned about the smell and mildew **** in my car. Any suggestions?

Take your shop vac to the seats. Should suck out alot of it. You could also clean then with a bleach solution or use fabreze or something.

you could try conditioning the leather. theres stuff you can buy at autoparts stores that you can use for that. Whether they work or not i dont know. As for the carpet, i'd get it steamcleaned than fan dry it.
