You can try resoldering the flasher board in the bottom of the CPU, or I have some in stock at my webstore if you rather buy one.

No, you will remove all the solder from the circuit board and flow new solder in.

See most Japanese circuit boards tend to develop cold solder joints after 10+ years. These joints are actually small factures in metal of the solder.

These solder joints with fractures then start to develop corrosion... pretty soon you have an intermittent connection, which eventually fails completely.

You will want to replace the solder on the board that looks like this in the CPU:

paying extra attention to where the relays and the connectors attach to the board.

Thanks!

The last couple of months I have just set up a couple of dealer accounts (and hope for more), and they have drained me of a lot of my regular parts, and put a heavy load on my time, but I will be back in stock soon on most of the things that I am low on and may actually be adding help (yeah my first employee besides myself and my wife).

If anyone is sick of the factory flasher in ur S4, they sell $2.50 flashers at autozone that have two prongs. You can wire two of these in lieu of the cpu. Route the turn signal wires from the turn signal switch to their respective output leads via the flashers and presto, instant turn signals.

this is probly what i'll do...

in any case i did a test... each prong for the flasher has a lable.. S1, S2, S3, L1, L2, B, and E... S1 is drivers side pos from the switch S2 is Pas...
S3??? L1 SHOULD be the flashing pos. from S1's signal but its not flashing... same with L2.. i figured this out by putting a pos. to L1 and L2 while the blinker was on
