First time mazda owner.....no knowledge

Hiya folks,
I just picked up an '87 rx7 as a second car. I'm trying to figure out which model I have. (I assume there's more than one.)
I don't have turbo. (At least I don't think so.)
Engine model is a 7k13p
Two seater
No cruise or auto suspension
It's a 5 speed manual with Air.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Sounds like an 'SE' to me... should have no rear wiper and crankdown windows.

Thank you,
Was just reading that thread while you were posting. It's got some great info to start me off.
It appears that I have a base rx-7.
You were correct in saying crank windows and no rear wiper.
I'm still not sure where it shows that I would be an SE or any other alpha type designations.

It's not that I don't believe, I'm just trying to get a better understanding of the different models.

the SE's have vinyl lettering ("SE") on both sides toward the bottom of the front fenders if I remember correctly. Also, the base models didn't come with a sunroof.

Nope...no lettering on mine.
Also correct about the lack of a sunroof. It's on my list of things to get put in, after I get the front end tightened up and find an old factory stereo deck, or cheap replacement, and scrub the interior. (Former, former owner must have been a chain smoker.)

Wasn't the "SE" first introduced in 1988?
I don't believe there was a 1987 "SE" model?

Quoted from Mazdamark.com:

Mazda made several noticeable changes to the mid 1987 production. The Luxury model was renamed the SE, The Sport model received an upgraded interior from the Turbo, and most notably all versions of the RX-7 received a new high impedance fuel injectors and a slightly re-mapped engine computer.

Sweet, thanks.

I think at this point though, I'm going to wait and see what I can find on a more local basis; possibly to save at least some of the shipping charges. (I'm just noting that you are in NY and I'm in Canada.)

P.S.
Thanks out to you and to LizardFC for the welcomes.

Nope.
Dude before me just put on new 3rd party alloy rims. The logo looks like KT or KP. I don't really know who makes them or what kind they are.
