idle fuel thingie

i heard about a little thing in the passenger side fender to adjust the fuel at idle... it has R<---->L im guessing for rich and lean. well i cant get my car to idle perfect and i think that might be the problem seing that the *** looks like the prior owner busted it off. so im thinking he was screwing with it and it broke on him and that might be why its not idleing correctly... if anyone has any insight on this or has a spare one of these things please let me know.

The "****" is below the surface of the unit. It always looks broken. Unless you have a SPECIFIC reason to do so, DON'T mess with the adjustment.

9 times out of 10, idle problems are caused by vacuum leaks and/or a bad/sticky BAC valve. Search.
