Excuse the leaves, it's fall in New England and we had a hardcore storm last night. I bought her with no wheels, as two weeks before, some ********* stole the wheels, radio and shift ****. (He must have had a ricer **** on it...)

Here's the first problem... Broken mirror. I have the broken off piece, but I figure it will be easier to just buy a new one from one of you fine people:

Here's my phiggety-phat rims that enabled it to get on the tow truck...

No FTPs, but I found one inside, so I have to get the other one...

Problem number two... The front drivers fender is rusted out pretty badly...

Yay! Door panels!

Here's the bag of spare parts that came in the hatch... There's an assload of interior parts...

If anybody wants to tell me what button is missing on the cluster surround, I'd appreciate it.

Here's my missing radio and shift ****.

And here's the rear passengers fender with it's wonderful rust/bondo....

So, two out of four fenders suck, the engine is losing coolant, and I have to fix up some of the other stuff. I'm taking the 13B out of this, rebuilding it, porting it, and putting it into my FB. As for this, LS1 and T56 coming soon, and since those two fenders are fucked, I might go wide body, or at least do the flares on the back. Overall, I'm happy with it, and think I got a pretty good deal.

Here's the engine... It has a brand new water pump and some hoses were replaced. The guy I bought it from said it has a blown apex seal, but it runs fine. I'm thinking coolant seal, but I'm going to do all the tests anyway.

Oh yeah, I'm pulling the seats out, fixing the stitching that's pulled, re-dyeing them black, and putting them in my FB. This will get some sort of aftermarket seats, or maybe Miata or RX-8 seats.

I was about to ask that too.

I'd check the differential and see if it's the 4.3... otherwise I think you didn't score a true GTUs. If if it's not, you've got a pretty sweet deal for $500.

I think he switched out the center console, because I have one that's a bit broken in the hatch. It's definitely an S5, it has the automatic seatbelts.

I'm wondering if it was an earlier theft recovery... I just looked at the door sticker, it was built in 89... But it has an S4 gauge cluster (like it matters...), and the current radio surround is S4, but I have all sorts of S5 parts in the back. It's like Frankenstein's monster.

Since someone stole the radio and shift ****, they probably ruined the S5 center trim pieces during removal. S4 and S5 trim are interchangeable.

As for the engine... I've never seen an S5 with an S4 engine. Maybe this particular car had been built with the S4 engine, or someone put in an S4.

Nice find regardless.

Like ****. Clouds of white smoke, the guy said he "couldn't keep water in it." It runs though, and drives around well enough that I've moved it around on my property no problem.

The whole engine appears to be S4. What size rims does the door tag say?
