First FC Drive, Some Wierd Things, Need Some Help
Ok, first time driving my FC on any real roads, and there were a few wierd things that happened. I first turned on the car, and it revved up to 3k rpm like I read about, then slowly started coming down. How long should I wait before going anywhere? Also, do I have to wait for it to come down every time? I heard that it was just a warm up type deal, so should I only need to let it warm up during the winter? Also, on the way home from where I went, I started driving, and I had my high beams on accidentally because I must have switched them on sometime before I drove at night. Anyways, the lights on both turn signals were lit all the time, except when I actually used them, then they started to blink, but when it went off, it just stayed on all the time. Another thing, when I didn't have my foot on the gas, whenever the blinker went on, the rpms went up a considerable amount in line with the blinker. Another thing, when is the buzzer supposed to go off for shifting? I was in second, and I dont think i ever went over 3k and I heard it beep, and it stopped when I shifted to 4th, but it seemed a lot too early. Are most of these common, or maybe only some of them? Please help me out.

Well as far as the 3k startup (accelerated warm-up), I just wait until the revs drop back down to normal before going anywhere. If you don't want to sit there and let the engine warm up at 3k rpm's, you can typically blip the throttle and the rpm's will drop. I usually let the engine warm up to normal operating temperature before driving. If you are in a hurry though, I have heard that it is good to keep the revs under 4k rpm's until the engine has reached normal operating temperature.

Anyone know about the green blinker lights being on all the time? Is that only when I put the bright lights on, or is it like that all the time? Or is something wrong? Also, anyone know about the rpms going up when the blinkers are on and i dont have my foot on the gas?

Not to be a dick or anything but did you test drive the car before you bought it? heh., =/ I mean I test drove mine and I did miss a few things but like rev's bouncing with the blinkers? that seems really odd.

Check your oil and coolant if the buzzer is going off. You might be low. As for the blinkers staying on all the time, someone might have had the dash apart before and didn't put it back together properly. Light might be getting thru from the other lights back there.

Yea I test drove it and all, and it runs fine, but the guy who checked it out said there was something wrong with one of the gauges, but I didn't think the whole thing might be messed up. Someone probably just wired it wrong.

Could it just be trying to charge the battery back up? I've had the car for a week, and I haven't been able to drive it cause it wasn't registered, but I kept turning it on to show the sound stuff out to people, and flipped up the lights and stuff. Possibly just that?
