Fire extinguisher plan

I pulled out my back seat and stuff to put in some speaker boxes. With this all done, I have some nice mounting space. My dad and I were discussing the idea of putting in a few fire extinguishers that can fire at certain points in the cabin if you flip an emergency switch. Or the switch can be more elaborate and if it's burned through, the car will know (either because an electrical contact with the switch is stopped, or a temp gauge hits a certain point) and the extinguishers will come on. Seems pretty low cost, and it would give you enough time to get out of the car if there is a fire. I first thought of this after driving by a pretty horrific car fire a few months ago. Only thing is you gotta shake extinguishers now and then, but that's it. Though they do have a tendancy to explode when pierced with something...

Reminds me of erm, HASVAC or I forget the name of it. I don't see the logic of a system like that in the cabin, but for the engine I can see a good use. Run some high pressure hose to the engine, maybe get a 1 into 4 splitter. One in each corner or side or who knows what.
Then maybe have a covered switch up front (hey dont touch that swit....)
And a fire extinguisher in the cabin would be good.
But all in all, I don't see to much reality of use for a spray system like that, just get an extinguisher behind the passenger seat or on rollbar/rollcage if you have one.
