finding out if i got a jdm engine.
Why does it matter? Personally I would rather a USDM motor.... Jspecs are ticking timebombs moreso then a stateside motor....
If it still has the intercooler the it will say intercooled 13b rotary engine or something of the sort...

Honestly it doesnt matter, they are the same engine, no power gain from a jspec, the block is the same the only differences were the intercooler, emissions, and fuel lines...
So it really doesnt matter, the engines are all the same.

Then your only real concern would be how well was it rebuilt. If it's got some miles on it, and hasn't exploded, lost compression, started burning tons of oil or overheating, you're probably in the clear.
