finally fixed my high idle
well for years ive had problems with high idles
i could not figure it out i read a few post buy hailers they helped alot
so what i did was
1..looked for vac leaks with a propane torch (not lit)
2..no leaks ,so then i took my throttle of it had so much gunk holding the plates open
3.. cleaned with brake cleaner and worked the linkage
4..made sure my thermwax was in spec ,it was of a little
5..put it all back
6..set my tps
7..voila my idle is rock solid
8..and for some unrelated reason i dont have a hot start any more
9..im on cload 9

Cload 9?..isn't that a French Guy?..(j/k man!)
I think that your Hot start problem want away because you weren't pushing fuel into it anymore,as the throttle is now closed when you shut it off.
On another Note,My car has a tendency to Every once in awhile Do a Hot start Problem Scenario
I found that IF I Punch the Throttle and Turn the key to OFF at the same time,When i go to start it up again it is easier to start.
I am sure it is because it is using the Last Possible Drop of fuel Shot into the engine, and not allowing more fuel to Go in,when the car is being shut off...anyways It works, and I am glad that you got your problem fixed also,
Congrats!.STYX.
