Filling up Differential?
Wanted to know if it was possible to fill up the differential thru the "ventillation hole" on top of the diff. SOmeone at my car meet said taht you could fill it up thru there, i checked on my LSD and did see a plug up there, but dont know what its for.
Reason: Fill Plug is stripped. The head of the plug.
I need a quick fix, if not im just going to throw in my LSD.

I'm not sure about this one, but why dont you just toss in the LSD anyway, no reason to waste oil and time.
And some craftsman bolt extractors (20 Dollars a set) with a drill might help you get out your fill plug.

Well the diff on there now is a 4.1 Open diff, and the LSD what was on my car originally when it was automatic, so the diff is a 3.9 LSD. I want to swap the Ring And pinion from the 4.1 open into the 3.9 LSD to get a 4.1 LSD diff. But i have to get my car up and running asap cuz ima be going to LIMEROCK at the end of the month for the Grand AM series and with Finals and projects this and next week ima have very minimal time to work on it.
Ill do the swap later on after the event but just want the car up and running soon.
IM sure you can do it, just wanted to confirm
I have the Craftsmen extractor set, borrowed it from a boy the largetst size i can find on there site is 19mm, i need 24mm (also the tard that owned the car i got the diff from tightened it with an impact gun like a tard lol)
Thanks for your post
