Help: How To Replace Apex Seals? Good Price on Seal Kit?

ayo im buying an 89 s5 body is mint, but the guy said the seals in the motor need to be replaced, does anyone know where i could get A goos seal kit for a good price?

Replacing the seals requires a full rebuild, which costs about $1000 at the bare minimum for someone else doing the work, usually more like 2k. You can get away with 700 or so if you so it yourself if you are lucky and already have all of the tools.

yea i was thinking that it would be easier if i just bought a new motor and dropped it in it would probly save me some agrivation, if i decide to rebuild would i need any special tools that are out of the norm?

yes

a flywheel stopper, engine stand adapter (you dont really need one, but it makes things OH SO much easier)..... just to name a few
