Fiberglass Turbo II Hood
Just finished prototype hood for my tubo II race car. I will have some pictures soon, but the hood is essentially a copy of the stock hood with the scoop about 2" taller and the head light covers moulded into the hood, stock intercooler connection in stock location. with some work it could be used with the stock hinges and latch but was designed to lift off. it is very light 5-7 pounds with rubber seal attached. if you are interested please email me and I will give you the rest of the details. cost will be $450 unless there is a large demand which could lower the cost. I will post pictures soon.

you could cut out the headlight openings, but this was designed to be an ultra light weight track piece. with some work brackets for the hinge could be made and the front latch could be attached, but non of this is included. easiest mounting is by four or five hood pins. hood is light enough to be lifted by one person easily. I will have some pictures posted on monday. I am at the track friday, saturday and sunday. price is still being finalised and if enough people want one the price may be lower. if truely interested let me know.

we will be at Buttonwillow later tonight. Tried to run at the season opener at California Speedway but had a bunch of small things slow us down. made 10 or twelve laps the entire weekend. This weekend I am hoping to actually get some racing in and not have to wrench on the car all weekend. look for a race recap on our site next week along with some more pictures in the gallery.

the body work on the unpainted car is not from Mariah it is from AWR. it is alot wider than their kit which is on the yellow car in the same gallery of pictures. it(mariah fenders) would look ok with the stock or slightly wider wheels. the unpainted car is using a 16x9 Kosei wheel with the 300ZX turbo(43mm if my memory serves me right) back spacing. I am going to have to use a different wheel or use some wide spacers to use the 10" slicks I plan on running. with this body work you could move the offset of the wheel about 2-3" towards the back of the wheel thus moving the tire away from the car, decreasing the backspacing on the rim. There are some inexpensive custom race wheels but they are not very good looking and the nice Kinesis,HRE, or BBS wheels are way out of my budget. I think I may look through the Kosei catalog to find a stock offset that I like.
Is anybody seriously interested in buying a hood? email me directly tim@wanaboo.com or post here. thanks

I am interested in one for my vert. Will the ducting will work with the standard TII intercooler with no airleaks?
It's a bit hard to tell how the unpainted ones will look on the car though. I'm assuming hoodpinds?

sorry server was down this morning. pics are there and I double checked the links. all of the stock turbo II gaskets bolt onto the hood and match up to the stock intercooler which I use on my race car. I may work on some balsa or aluminum pieces to connect onto the hinges with hood pins at the front. I will have it fit and primed soon and will post some more pics of it on the car. it is really a copy of the stock flat hood with a 2" taller version of the turbo II scoop. price at this time is $450 but if 5 or more are ordered I may be able to get them nearer $400. thanks

Persona non grata
As I said before, I'm interested ... what e-mail address can I use to write you about it?
I really want to see the hood painted and on a car too. And hopefully not that hideous red FC with the white squares all over it.

Nice hood!! What wide body kit is that on the red or silver 2nd gen on that web page? Is it the tri point, Japtrix, or something else? I really want one, and those are the only "real"pics I have seen of it.

Heck yeah interested!!!!
Interested? BOY AM I!!! I'd love to get one rom you but it would have to wait awhile because I'm alittle short on cash. I would be more interested if there were cut-outs for the flip up headlights, that would make it more appealing for me because this is for my drive everywhere car. (only car I have) I would love to see it when it's painted though. If you think you could make some changes PLEASE e-mail me and I'll do my damn
best to get the hood from you!
