FIA homologation is not necessarily required in the USA because we have several racing organizations. For example, the Doo Wop series is sponsored by NASA, which only uses small portions of the FIA specifications.

Yes, it is strange. It could be that we just can't find it. You may want to contact your local FIA representatives to see if they can help.

I placed a redirect in the Race Car Tech section to see if the forum racers know the answer.

Expired homologations

http://www.fia.com/resources/documen...ogations_a.pdf

may find the car was never done as Mazda had another expensive program going at the time with a car far more suited to competition.....try finding a Rx4/5 homologation in a similar vein!

Could be worth contacting the moderator of this forum, as he used to rally one

http://www.bmsc.com.au/

and we normally have to jump through all the FIA BS hoops to run over here.

And another one in 1984 but this is FB332, recorded in group B Hom.No.255

Next one in 1987, but again it is SA22C 2+2, group B, Hom.No.289

... I'm in 90s now ... still looking, no its nothing here.

I have complete confidence now, that FC was never officially notified or approved by FIA, sad but true...
