few ?s need help please
alright so i was thinking my rx7 hasnt started what could be a few reasons why besides the shitty as job done on the battery and wiring harness.FUSES! so i looked one was burned out and there were a few missing one the kick panel by the drivers side clutch pedel. then on the actual harness there are a few missing as well. the one in the engine bay. (i really need pictures of the covers so i can see what fuses go where and what amp they are) also the car had safc2 spliced into the ecu. i took it off but now im having second thoughts. does it need this since the wires have been spliced. or can someone send me pictures or tell me where the wires go. anything would be great.if i took the safc out should the car be ok?

The S4 coupe one has been mysteriously missing from the FAQ for a while now, I scanned mine a while ago:
Here's a link to the FAQ post anyway https://www.rx7club.com/showpost.php...72&postcount=3

find a wireing diagram and do the corrosponding pinpoint test.
and i believe it goes without saying, but if there's a wire not connected, also refer to said diagram to find out where it routes and connect it.
teamfc3s.org has FSM PDF files, maybe check them out.
i would suggest buying a hard copy of the FSM because it sounds like you need all the help you can get.

Listen to this guy. I'm thinking/hoping the starter + wire was off and shorted to the block or ground and that's the reason for the blown main fuse. If not, there could be a short somewhere else. But then I'm wondering what the previous owner was doing? Any info.
Also, the + fat wire to the starter has a boot, the negative doesn't. Make sure these aren't switched.

Disconnect both battery clamps. Take a multimeter, put it on Ohms (resistance). Get a long wire to increase the length of one of the multimeter leads. Place one multimeter lead to one of the battery clamps, then the other mult. lead to one of the thick wires near the starter. Whichever shows 0 Ohms (no resistance) is the same wire as the end near the battery. Our cars come with a black! cover on the positive battery clamp, so that's also worth keeping in mind.
