A few questions from a new TII owner

Hi. I just bought an 88 TII. It is completely stock except it has a cone air filter. It looks like an off-brand and is very dirty so I will probably put a new K&N on there. Does anyone know which brand filter works best? Any one have the K&N part no?

My real question is regarding an FCD. It seems for the money that getting an Rtek is much better as it includes an FCD... But I am not planning on heavily modifying the car. Would getting an Rtek instead of an FCD be more trouble than it's worth? I don't plan on doing much beyond exhaust and opening up some things (wastegate, etc.), and I would like to keep things "safe" if you know what I mean.

I'm just curious which way people go.

Thanks in advance.

An air filter is just an air filter. It doesnt really have to be of a certain brand just as long as it increases flow (which is usually determined by the design and the material.) With that in mind, I use the HKS megaflow on my turbo 7 just b/c its HKS and I get discounts (and it seems to flow really good.)
