Question

I just got this 7 and was swapping out the four lug for a 5 and noticed that the 4 lug one has one piston calipers on the front. Whats up with that? Did mazda just go from a 1 piston straight to the 4 for the front or is it just some kind of base edition. Its a 4-seater as well.

4 lug models only got single piston front brakes, and non vented rear rotors

Base S5 models (GTU) also got single piston front brakes and non vented rear rotors

Ahh okay. I just don't see what gave the idea to go from single all the way to the big 4 piston ones. I mean its sweet and all but theres got to be a reason.
