Feint buzzer sound? Wiring issue?

After work today when I started my car I noticed a feint buzzing sound. It sounded similar to the red line buzzer, but extremely quiet (obviously loud enough that I could hear it). It startled me so I shut the car off and turned it back on. When it came back on the sound was not there but all of the lights in the idiot cluster stayed on. Turning it on and off a few more time one or the other was on. I drove it to school with the buzzer buzzing. When the engine revs the buzzing gets quieter. I’m not 100% sure but I think it went silent around 2.3/3k rpm. I had forgotten it even occurred until I went to park and the sound started up again.
Anyone have any ideas what could cause this?

I should probably add that, it sounded as if it was coming from either the gauge cluster or from the front left speaker. I doubt it was the speaker because it made the same sound with the radio on as with it off, and regardless of the volume.
I will try to check the speakers soon; I probably won’t have a chance tonight because I don’t get out of class till 9 and have work again tomorrow at 7am.

well it did come from the gauge cluster, cus thats where the warning buzzer is.

check your coolant, your oil, make sure they are filled enough. there are probably more but i cant think of them right now. start out with that.

I’ll check them all. Maybe it was actually going off, and the buzzer is just dying on me. It was so quiet I almost couldn't believe that it was going off on purpose.

looks like it was definitely an electrical issue of some kind
I drove it to school today (no choice). On my way home when I turned on t he wipers (it started snowing) the radio cut power for a second every time they wiped. I turned the radio off and just hoped I could make it home. On the road close to my apartment I feel the car struggling, like it wants to stall, even though the RPMs are somewhere in the 3k area. As I'm going down a hill it has strong feeling of sputtering and so I fishtail in the snow. Thankfully I managed to regain control before I hit anything. I pull up to the next light which is about 10 seconds from where I live and it cuts out on me. I didn't even have turn signals so I could not use my hazards. I could not get it to turn back on or anything. Eventually a couple kind strangers come and helped me push it into my complex down the hill and into a spot.

Now I have to figure out what the hell went wrong...

get your alternator tested. also remove the trailing coil and check your ground block (thing that spark plug wires are plugged into closest to the windshield is the trailing coil, metal piece bolted to the strut tower is the block.) sand it or clean it with something.

did you see what your voltimeter was reading? Check your battery, is it swollen? Check wires for burn marks, or spots of the plastic wrapping thats a turning a darker color

its a t2 so no voltimeter. I'll try and check the other stuff some time soon. It's a ridiculously busy time for me right now so it's probably going to have to sit for a couple days..
