feelings of the Rtek 2.0 now that its been out long enough...

im wondering you guys feelings of the Rtek 2.0 because we have this in mind:

target power is along the lines of 350+- 10hp....
i understand whats needed to hit this goal in terms of parts....my question is would using an Rtek 2.0 to tune it be a good option or should i just go strait haltech??

thanks guys!

I like my 2.0...and you can't ask for a better group of people to work with...great customer service, and they have anyswered any question I have had so far. They also are continually looking to improve it. I believe (somebody correct me if I'm wrong), that they are looking to have the 2.0 so that you can remove the afm...I've also heard possibilities of "auto-tune" features in the software, etc, etc. Anyway I give it my vote.

Yea cust service is great. I ran to a few problems and they even stayed on the phone with me after their normals hrs just to get my pda to work.
Datalogging features are great and can be viewed on the pc, I thinks its great. Then u can share them on the net as long as the download the small program.
Builnt in no fuel cut, adjustable 2ndary injector staging, clear flood on held pedal..all great features. Not to mention just plug in play.
I'm selling mines cuz I decided to go a different route, my tuner feels more comfortable with something else so dats what ima do.
And yes they are working on a version to remove AFM but dats for NAs at this time I believe but they are always continuing to fix problems or listen to customers.

Not too big right now as far as mods go.

1988 Turbo II
Street ported motor / s5 turbo / ported WG (set at 12psi
True CAI / full RB racing exhaust (no cats)
Walbro 255 (rewired) / 750cc marren secondaries
Apexi twin chamber bov
Hallman MBC
Rtek 2.0 / Innovate LC-1 Wideband XD-1 Gauge
Racing Beat 6-puck sprung clutch / Stronger pressure plate
all emissions removed

Working on a FMIC setup right now, just getting all the pieces I need gathered up.

that thread i think gives just a brief explanation on running larger turbos/more boost. Personally, I'd just give them a call, I'm sure they'd be glad to answer any of your questions.

as far as how far you can go with it, you are limited to about 14-15 psi of boost, and currently it can correct about 40% from stock fuel curve (25% auto-injector preset + 15% user correction).

I believe they are working on increasing the adjustments from +/-15% to 30% in a later release, which would give you total fuel correction of 55% from stock, which would be plenty of fuel correction, especially since you cant run more than 15 psi

well sound top notch considering im pretty sure with solid dyno time we can probly make 350whp on14~15psi on probly a td06 or a 60-1/62-1....so yea....sounds like its gunna be the do all for now until we can finer adjustment ablity...

thanks for the input!

gotcha....solid....only positives here.....very good assuming 350 is the only projected goal....is there any reason i would want a haltech for instance...or would u guys say...no need the Rtek will satify all the needs to do it reliably...and consistantly....

sorry i love feedback!

Only benefits o going Haltech would be new sensors, new wiring (don' forget, the harness you're pulgging into that R-tek is 20 years old...) FULL tunability and room to grow as well.

The AFM makes things limited. I have the Rtek 1.7 , seems to work flawlessly but Im only scratching the surface with this thing. I still havent turned up the boost.
