well hes gonna run rich, its an fc haha. but seriously, i dont think you are running rich. you have stock fuel system and stock ecu. unless the injectors are leaking or sticking, this shouldnt be an issue. i would really go and check your 5th/6th port actuators. the are on the lim and look like little cylinders or whatever you wanna say. just see if they move freely (when the cars off and cool of course) you might have to take the big as intake pipe to get to it.

I'll go give it a wiggle... lol

everything is stock, the last owner said he has the intake ported and polished, but I wouldn't bet on it. but if I have to take the intake off, I'll find out..

Make sure the aux port actuators and VDI is working correctly.

I'm going to put grease on the arm of the actuators, and see if it smears.

ok, I put a hose up to the front one and blowed, it moved to the stop.

did the same to the back one till I turned plaid, moved about an 8th. took off the rear actuator and there was a tight spot. move free by hand.

as for the AVI, no clue what or where it is.

And who was the *** that put a screw on that? real bright...

still does the after burn, and still sluggish, I guess I have to take it out and clean it.

will the VDI cause this?

if so where is it and how to test it.

Thank you

I found out what the VDI is... I feel so dumb.

Now can I fix the port valves without taking out the engine?

and now the worms... or just "wire" them open

Pull the aux port actuators off and clean them. Sometimes you can free the sleeves, sometimes you need to pull the lower intake off to get at them.

I'm very surprised that you were able to move it via blowing. It takes about 1-2 PSI, which is an extraordinary amount of pressure to generate with your mouth.

As for the back-firing/afterburning when you rev it. i think this is semi normal.

Mine dose this same thing and if it was an open exahust i am sure it would be throing flames out the rear, when i have my exahust off it would send a fireball under the car, sounded like a gun shot!

Course, my aux ports are not working.

o, and the "after-burning" aka "throwing flames" is definately normal on fc's. with the cat removed, most stock cars will do it without much effort

when I pull the ports out, and clean them, wont the Carbon buildup, fall into the combustion chamber? and will this hurt the rotor's?

and I used the small water hose that goes to the Windshield washer.

nah, it won't hurt anything, there is not enough to do any damage.
