Better question is why? the calipers are virtually identical. There would be no gain, unless you are replacing your bad calipers with used ones.

If you want a good brake upgarde, use an S5 P/B booster in conjunction with a 929 1" bore brake master cylinder. Well worth the trouble of install.

the stock calipers fit. they are exact same, just a bit different shape. the FD rotors do not.

I though the rotors would fit because I hear about guys putting fd wheels on fc's and I automatically assumed the rotors would fit. But we shouldn't assume, huh.

Well, the bolt holes of the rotors would be the same, but I bet the offset is different. That's too bad, because it would be sweet to put those RZ rotors on.

When you said 929 brake master, is that a mazda 929 or a porsche?

Well lets say you like the FD wheels. Just get some FD rotors and calipers to boot.

Calipers will bolt straight on, BUT tyhe hard line is different. You will need the FD hard lines...

IF you are going to use the 929 brake master cylinder, you will need the 89-91 brake booster. I also believe that you will need to modify on of the brake lines too; but I really don't know since I opted to keep the stock BMC.

Is there any writeups on the 929 master cyl? I did a search, and found nothing that would help. Do I have to make new hard lines? How much more effort is required to stop the car? Is the smaller amount of pedal travel worth the higher effort? I would imagine so, it sure would make heal/toeing easer.

one thing to add. the FD3s calipers are made by aluminum . so it will save u some weight there. and the rotor are thicker?(not sure )
