FD rims on FC, how the f*ck

How am I going to do this. I've got the rims, I've got the tires, how to I make them fit in the front? The rear is fine, but I knew it would be. Please help. Chris

You need spacers.

h&r makes hubcentric spacers... you'll need the 25mm ones.

here's a link

http://www.nascarplace.com/hrspacers/itm01897.htm

i would get two pair so the front and rear will be even. but you only really need the fronts so that everything will fit.

You really need spacers for all the wheels. If you only put them on the fronts and not the back you will have very weird steering problem.
1. the car will have a more unstable feeling because of the fronts sticking out much more than the rears
2. It will look like a freaking honda.

I have the setup on my car, makes the car look great but a few problems with it.

I have lost the true on straight steering, the car wonders out if the wheel is left unattended, even after a wheel aligment and replacement of worn-out steering parts.
You might have fender rubbing on big bumps with the stock tire size. I had to go down to 45s in the fronts.

The car looks great but i'm going to get rid of them.
The problem is mostly the spacers, it ruins the handling of the car in a different way.

I heard of someone of losing a wheel using the spacers so I don't recomment for track or drag racing hard. Specially hard lunches.

If you want some nice looking wheels for cheap just use some +97 Prelude wheels. At least you won't have to worry about spacers since they fit right on. Works for me.

Just a warning for those considering putting PRELUDE rims on their FCs. I have thought about this also and test fitted a set. The Prelude rims are +55mm offset! Which means that they will look TOTALLY pushed into the car once you put them on with wicked fender gaps front and even worse in the rear. Just so you all know...

Pics of my car? But of course:

The "H" is just a plastic cap that pops out. These wheels are good enough for me until I have enough for some 18 inch Volk SE-37's. I've been using them since January. I was daily driving with them and did autocross with no problems. You can't use tires wider than 205 in the front without a spacer. I used 225/50/16 in the rear.

Yeah, I can't deny that. I got 'em from my friend though for $200 bucks so I can't complain. I don't think the gap is THAT wicked...but it's kinda wicked. You can see the gap in the angled picture.

Your car looks very, very nice and those wheels do make it look even sweeter! I ALMOST did the same thing as you, but decided against it at the last minute. The problem is that not only is the OFFSET worse then stock, but also the RIM width..its 6.5in, 1/2 inch smaller then stock. So it does kinda look too skinny out back, espeically since we got such a wide rear fender! I managed to get 8 inch rims with 245 tires out back and a 30mm offset going, so it looks "JUST RIGHT"...here have a look:

Volk Racing rims!
I'm getting a set this summer. not sure which ones though.
Maybe the Daytona Speed?? not sure.
I was thinking of slapping on Protege 5 rims till I could get the Volks.

Damn, those wheels look badass on your car! I can't wait till I have enough for some good rims. I'm shooting for some 18 inch TE-37's in bronze but that's not gonna happen for a while since I'm having the engine rebuilt and streeetported.

Thanks man. Those 18" TE-37 will be AWESOME!!! But forget that, damn I can't believe your getting your engine streetported TOO, that'd be SO AWESOME!!! Let me know how fast it is afterwards and how much power you noticed...thanks.

what's the offset and size of the stock wheels for the FC. i've got a 99 prelude right now, but am selling it. thing is.....i just got some awesome jdm wheels for it 17x7.5 stern aguzze s07r. black with a polished lip with a 47mm offset.
i'm planning on getting an FC within the next few months, so will the above wheels fit? anybody else running something similarly sized/offset?

Oops, I meant SE-37 in Bronze. I know of too many cars sporting the TE-37's
