What is required to run FD housings on a S5 turbo?

Rotor housings?

the housing used in the rear position(closer to trans) will need the coolant passage drilled out to supply the turbo through the LIM.

otherwise nothing is needed.

yes the front housing won't require modification at all.

almost forgot...in order to use it in the rear position you'd have to machine a lip for the o-ring to set into for that coolant passage.

Physically yes, but the spark plug positions are different between S4 and S5 housings, so I have to believe an FD housing will be different as well. I'd wait until I had a matching set.

Haven't looked into this in a while, but I am at the point of needing to buy a housing. I am thinking of just buying two housings and if I am doing that, I thought I might just buy FD housings. At this point, my understanding is that the only thing I have to do is take care of the coolant passage drilled out. Is this hard to do? I would be willing to take it into a shop if someone in the NW will do it. I am really looking to build a reliable engine and it seems the FD housings are better than the S5 TII. Anyone?

Looks like I am just getting one housing. Just making sure, do I need to worry about spark plug position or anything if I buy an FD housing for the front of my S5 Turbo?
