fd to fc swap ? how hard ?

ok i searched a little bit .. but how hard is a fd complete engine swap to a fc chassie ?

i just bought a salveged tittle fd rx7 for what it think is a world record cheap price !!

but it has roof sturctual damage and tranny is slipping auto !

but the engine is basically brand new as well as the turbos !!

im thinking in picking up a seper clean fc and installing eveything in it !!

how hard will this be ? this is not my first rx7 or my first swap .. just one of my first rotarys ! =) any info will be greatly apreciated ! thanks!

Its not an easy swap, your gonna have to fabricate motor mounts and run standalone EMS. The good news is that the FD engine will mate to an TII trans and drivetrain no problem. But the thing is that you could swap almost any engine into the FC with the amount of work to swap in an FD motor, it would be far easier to swap the good motor and turbos into a clean FD shell.

This topic has been covered countless, probably hundreds of times on this board. This info is posted in the FAQ section of the second gen forum. This thread itself shouldn't last much longer.

OP Needs to search MOAR, plus why would you put a worse engine in a FC? Everybody knows FD engines fail prematurely go with something half decent like a RE or 20b,

I'm guessing your a piston fan, 5.7L of piston to *** pounding LOL
