Its been done, do a search. It is not easy, and does not seem worth it when you can build a 13BT to be just as fast.

"Will a FD motor (13B-REW) fit in my FC?
The simple answer is No! The motor mounts are in different locations as well as other issues; however if you have enough time and money it can be done. It is generally cheaper and easier however to put in a 20B (typically around $10,000 installed) than it is an 13B-REW from a FD. Here is a basic write up: http://fc3spro.com/TECH/SWAP/FD3S/rew.html"

Taken from the FAQ for FC at the top of the forum, seems that if you had to chose between a 20b and a fd motor the 20b would be the way to go

If the price of $10,000 dollars is near to being real, I would just sell the FC and by the FD!

Why would it cost 10000 for fabrication? or is that including the Wiring harness, and all the other crap that goes along with it?

$10,000 is for bringing in the car, and then fabrication and parts for adding the 20B engine (including the price of the engine, and engine managment system).

It is a conservitive number if you don't do a good portion of the work yourself.

I don't get the FD (13BREW) in a FC thing...

The S5 13BT is about the same anyway... if you really want that kind of power... it is almost bolt on.

In worst case, modify a S5 13BT to 13BREW standards would be cheaper/easier than trying to put a 13BREW in a FC.

lol, you do it and tell me what is cheaper and easier.

The 20b is the way the better choice of the two though

let me rephrase my question, i'm parting ot a 93 fd and i own four fc(s) one of them happen to be a 91 in mint cond. and runs fine except for the 30sec smoke upon cold start( i,m guessing side seals, and probably needs rebuilt because it is embarassing) the fd engine has been sitting for quite some time and needs freshing up( i'm planning on executing the build and fitment myself to save money)so therefore i have the engine tranny and lsd in possession so i guess this changes everything, not to mention that i want to run a haltech ecm and a fmic thanks for the info guys(
