FD alt Pully on FC

FD alt Pully on FC

can anyone help me, I just got a rebuilt FD alt but my FC pully didnt fit, can I just use 1 from any car as long as it fits, or do I have to get a fancy one for like $60.00 from ebay. thanks guys

IIRC, the holes on the stock FC pullies are smaller. You have to widen them.

J-Rat I was told that if i did that, they could be off balanced and eat away the belt.

Not if you have it drilled by a COMPETANT machinist, then you need a spacer made also. By the time you pay for that you can buy the pulley from Higgi

I would banzai, but higgi doest have anymore, so now i am stuck with this rebuilt FD alt lol

I used a old GM alt. pulley to install the FD alt. on my s5. Slip it on and install the nut. Works great.

thank you weedwacker, but i just paypaled silverrotor for a dual pully. wish i saw this a lil earlier lol. thanks again guysssssssss

on my 89 TII i just grinded some of the alt. away cause you should not need to change any holes but the alt. does not swing as low as the stocker.

found that there is a round bulge the touches the housing and stops it from swinging so you can put the belt on.

I got the dual alt pulley on mine when i got it from silverrotor
