FCS4 Convertable Trunk Gas Struts

Does anyone know where I can get a pair of gas-filled struts for a 1988 Convertable trunk? I am hoping to find some exact matches instead of having to modify some generics from NAPA. Plus NAPA isn't the cheapest for sure. (I am hoping I'm not the only one who's struts have lost some of their power.)

that site does not have convertable trunk gas-filled struts. I just found some on mazdatrix website . . . for $250!! Does Mazdatrix make them out of SOLID GOLD, or are they just overcharging like crazy.

I don't think so

I don't think he is looking for suspension shock absorbers! He is looking for the support struts that hold the trunk lid open on a vert. There is a set on eBay right now:

If you find a source for oem type supports, let me know. Mine are okay right now, but I'm sure they will eventually need to be replaced.

I took mine out, along with the brackets, two years ago, as part of my weigh savings. I replaced them with an aluminum prop rod.

I tossed them out, or I would have just given them to you. Sorry.
