Yo people wanna ask y'all sumtin, I got myself a white face for mah cluster (i havent installed it yet) like from the one of dat project 86 RX-7 of fc3s.org and it changes it color it has two colors: BLUE & GREEN... but I was wonderin if theres a way to change the color to an orange like the onefor the car, I want the background to look orange like dose Autometer Phantom white gauges... is there any way to change the color? please I need help...

Probably but you would need to change the LED and resistance value for that color since orange requires less power I believe.

 

then worry about your bling gauges.

HAHAHA... damn yall are killin it. i dont think you can change the color, they dont use L.E.D.'s they use like phosphorus and other elements like that, that when charged they create a glowing color. and certain elements only produce certain colors. i believe it is phosphorus that is used to make the blue and green tints when charged with electricity. those autometer guages use a colored slide over a light bulb to produce color

 

er.... first of all whats a L.E.D? :S

 

light emitting diode, also try to find the company that you bought the gauge plates from and look for the other inverter. they say it has six colours if i remember right, also i think it will hook up with your plates. hope this helps

but for real men... I NEED TO CHANGE THAT DAMN COLOR!!! IT LOOKS SO DAMN RICERISH why they dont make some damn white faces that are white at daytime, but then it turns all orange with the black numbers at night men... for example look at FDs, there some faces that are all white & black (inverted DUH! lol) and at night when you turn them on its they look almost like the stock one, orange numbers with the black background (its white actually, but at night, because its dark and because you cant see ****, it becomes black) DAMN!!!!

Have you tried just installing the white faces while leaving the stock gauge lights functional? I mean without the indeglo or whatever part wired up. I'm not familiar with the gauge setup though.

 

Not yet... thats what I was thinking about but I dunno man, dont you think that leaving the stock gauge lights functional will turn the numbers on and not the background? DAMN THIS **** IS CONFUSING!!! I know theres a way to turn my **** orange man... I can feel it, BUT HOW?
