FC3S v-mount radiator and intercooler kit?

Does anyone know of a kit that is already available? If not rotaryextreme.com said that they would consider developing one if there was enough interest. Maybe we can get them to develop it.

Jesse

A V-mount IC/rad is mounted in a > formation with the intercooler on the top of the sideways V and the radiator on the bottom, instead of || with the intercooler in front of the radiator.

you'd have to have a hood for it, if not then where would all that air really go? If done properly they can be very effective, with very little pressure drop. Ideal for road racing, and high performance street applications.

If you don't have a vented hood for it the air goes out exactly where it does w/ the stock intercooler or a FMIC- out the trans tunnel. Even in my set-up pictured above there are several inches between the hood and IC at its closest point.
The vented hood just really optomizes the set-up.

My set-up pictured is NOT a V-mount; however.

It is a Horizontal mount IC as the radiator and IC have completely different intake ducts. This is superior to V-mount since

1) the full stock intake duct is used for oil cooler and radiator and a secondary intake duct (made from cutting out the front rubstrip and slotting the plastic bumper) is used for the IC (more total flow) whereas a V-mount would share the stock opening (unless you had aftermarket buper w/ larger opening) between the oil cooler, radiator and IC.

2) vented hood will vent the IC w/ out venting air out BEFORE it can flow through the radiator as it does in a V-mount system.

3) the IC and radiator are isolated from eachother by the floor of the IC duct (thermally non-conductive stainless steel in my application) so heatsoak is much less than in a V-mount system.

nice, how about you break it down. or at least take the IC out so we can get some nice pics. Share the wealth. Couldn't really tell it was seperated by looking at the pic.
