FC3S Troubles
I really need help. I wasnt lazy i did look at other posts its just after two hours of searching i havent solved these issues. I just bought a early 87 fc. dunno if its gtu but heres the specs.
The whole body except the engine is early 87
13-B Fuel injection 6 ports stock from a 89
automatic trans radiator, on a manual !
sunroof, 5 bolts, power widows not locks, and a crap load of electrical issues.
here a re the problems.
Sunroof close botton opens the sunroof and viceversa. althogh before the engine was put in it worked exceptionally well.
when i connect the little box next to the driver side speaker it beeps and i havent found a solution. ( think its the ECU).
is there a way to tell if the electronic suspension is working i dont feel a god dammed diffrence.
Dummy clock does whetever the hell it wants and tells me to add coolant.
horn doesnt work even though i replaced the fuse. dont know may have a relay.... or it could be the horn doesnt work. thats what i thought about the side mirrors turned out it has a wire that comes loose often.
i have wires under the passenger speaker cut to hell dont know if they were the radios but why would the radio wires have a secondary harness all the way over here.
left headlight turns on on the way up but once it opens it shuts off.
water is leaking into the rug behind or under the driver seat. took off the whole upholstry and couldnt find a thing.
wipers only work in I setting. probably the relays but where the hell could they be.
also anyone have diff mounts that dont cost $300 and fail after a couple of months
see i bought a shop manual. couldnt find most of these answers. then someone "accidently" threw it into the beach in front of my house.
plus im planning on buying a FA but if anything i should first finish up the FC. especially if any of the fixes are gonna cost me cash.
plus i love my FC its almost taylored to fit me. so iwant whats best for it. and well my electro mechanic never owned an fc so i dont trust him. And my regular mechanic Berto Vivo owner of BAM-BAM IV well hes a bit booked till next month.

The stereo front speakers have an amplifier which is located by the right front speaker.
There is a evaporator box underneath the dash on the passenger side. The unit has a drain plug which goes through the firewall to empty out. If this tube becomes clogged it will drip out onto the floorboard of the passenger side. This problem really occurs when the AC is being used. If this is the problem it will be just water and has no smell. If it is a sweet smell then that indicates coolant which is likely coming from the heater core or the connection to the heater coolant tubes. There are two of these.
The horn problem might relate to the CPU which there are three parts to it with one governing the horn.

The sunroof might just need rewiring in the opposite way it currently is wired up.
The add coolant light might be caused by air bubbles in the systen which would require a draining/flush and refill or it could be the sensor itself. To check that just look at the online FSM.
The clock malfuntion is prevalent with the car due to poor soldering and you likely have a cold solder joint which needs to be resoldered.

1. Click on search link located towards the top of page.
2. click on advanced search when the small search page pops up.
3. Top left of advance search page enter what you are looking for in the "keywords" box
4. Toggle down to bottom right of advanced search page and scroll down to 2nd generation specific to narrow the focus of the search or any other forum necessary.
5. Click on the "search now" buton located at the bottom of advanced search page.
