fc3 flame thrower

the first seal has been lifted. changed the oil today at 504 miles on the new engine. now i get to rev to 6000. i should get to see what kind of power it will actually make now. ill get the springs and swaybars on maybe tomorrow as well.
8:41 pm
i just went for a drive. ive never heard or felt anything like this. i am in love. it starts making power at 3500. this power carries up to 5200. from there it really begins to wind up. from 5200 to 6000 that bitch is screamin, beggin for more. if the engine bearings, rotors, and eccentric shaft were setup for it, i bet it would make power up to 9000. all i can say is... awwww yeaaaaaaa.
8:43 pm
side note: when gearing down at 4500 or so it definetly blows flames. i can HEAR it blowing flames.

hayes rotary did mine. they have the best warranty. 3 years or 36000 miles. i posted to the fourm about them, but didnt get any response quickly. i went with them, and since then i have gotten 2 bad comments, and one good one. i was quoted 2.5 weeks from order to delivery, but it took almost 4. keep in mind that the towers fell during this time. they are somewhat hard to contact, as they have an automatic answering service. the engine is fabulous in my opinion. i didnt get just a simple rebuild tho. i got street portint, carbon apex seals, hi volume oil pump. shimmed oil relief valve, and some other internal mods. my price with warranty and shipping was $2600. i feel that i got my money's worth.

Did you install it yourself? Most of the time you, yourself are the only mechanic you can trust!

yes, i did the install myself. i took 50 or so pics of the dismantle on a digital (borrowed from my brother). i took 4 pages of notes. i labeled every electric connection and vaccum hose. when it came time to put it back together. i only had to look at my pics a few times, and the haynes manual for torque specs. i only mis-threaded the wiring harness in one place. i put the bac connector on top of the fuel line going to the primaries instead of under it.
