Unhappy FC Wont Start

So, I've had my S4 Vert for almost a year, It has a S5 turbo engine, BUT the previous owner took the turbo off and put a carby on it, So it's a Carby Tii s5 engine that's N/A, Now the problem started 2 days ago, i started it, it ran fine for about a minute then sputtered out, then it wouldn't start, i tried rolling it but still, it would sputter and die, now i have it sitting at the bottom of my street while i try to figure out what the heck happened, The carby is getting fuel and everything seems fine, Today i tried cranking it and it sputtered but didn't start, This is important because for the last 2 days if i turned the key it would crank & fire but wouldn't turn over, Does anyone have any ideas? i haven't tried much but i don't know where to start, this is my first rotary and it's not easy trying to find info for my specific engine configuration, Judging by the fact it almost started first crank today could it be flooded? that wouldn't explain why it sputtered and died in the first place, But any ideas would be greatly appreciated. (It also has a dizzy directly above the CAS, if that matters, I haven't seen any other fc's with a dizzy)

The plugs were dry? Try spraying some fuel in the mouth of the carb while turning it over and see if it starts. If it does, you know your problem is fuel related?

This may sound silly, but did you check your fuel level?

The plugs had black oil on them i rinsed them in petrol and they have spark, I'm hoping that oil on the plugs doesn't mean Apex seals,
The fuel level is about half, And the carb is getting fuel, I checked that the jets were squirting fuel a couple days ago.

Today after rinsing the plugs in petrol it sounded like it was about to turn over but only if a mashed the accelerator pedal, But then petrol started leaking from the carb, not too much but enough to be an issue.

Still lost as to what the main problem is.

So i had my Dad come over today with a compression tester and stuff, All he did was check for spark (Like i did) and then turn the key and it started, There was a ton of white smoke so it would have been flooded, He said Having the plugs out for 20 minutes before he got here and having not tried starting it today would have let it dry enough to start, Cheers for the help guys, I feel so dumb right now.

Flooded. Probably look into rebuilding your carburetor.
