Talking The FC winter project is finally here! 0_0

Check this out you all:

Front Rotors Brembo
Front and Rear pads AXXIS
SS DOT approved lines from MT
FD alt from Tony

The above goes in tommorow

Now this is what I have planned for a couple of months from now:

New Tires, Michelin Pilots
Engine Mounts MT
Diff. mount
Shifter Bushings upper
Lower
Inner boot
middle boot
Tranny mounts Rear MT
MT short shifter
Tranny mount Y competition MT
Tranny front cover w/seal MT
Tranny rear seal MT
Tranny and drive shaft knight in SA
CORK SPORT Strut Tower Bar -Set
87-88 Cap Assembly w/o overflow tube

I am still trying to decide on what suspension parts to get. I need ideas. I saw rx7.com had a competition package that is a bit over 800 dollars. Do you all think its good? I don't want coil-overs just yet. I don't think I am even good enough to max them out.

What do you all think?

Damn...For a second there I thought you got smart and bought a TII...

Are the Brembos slotted? (might be a dumb question, but I have only recently began looking at aftermarket brake rotors)

I payed under 100 dollars shipped for the fronts. I don't need rears.

Oh and I don't want an engine that won't last much longer than 50k miles. I like the N/a reliability which a bridgy can't do.

as long as I can drive I have fun. If the engine goes poopy in 50k I am not going to like it. I drive around 27k miles a year. I don't have time to wait for a rebuild kit.

An NA won't outloast a TII too much except for the fact that people boost the hell out of bad modded TIIs. My TII is much more reliable than my old NA, thats for sure. And I bought mine with a rebuilt engine stock in great shape for $1300

Anyways. Does anyone have any relevant comment on my restoration? I am not getting a TII since there arent any here. There are two and one is owned by MAX and is dead. The other is owned by a mexican colector/mechanic. I can't go out of town just yet. Maybe in the spring I can pull it off during spring break but honestly I would doubt me finding what I want of a TII for 2G's

I wouldn't go with the kit from rotary performance if it was me. I'd go with the KYB AGX adjustable shocks/struts from k2rd for $410. Then get whatever springs you like. I'd get the RB ones for $240. Then you'd be at $650. You could get a front and rear corksport strut bars for $79 a piece. Then you'd be at $810 total.

NO I don't think I use my car to the point that I need that extra exhaust gase escape area. I really bought them because they are cheaper than OE ones lol!

If you read my list up top you will see something like Cork Sport Strut bar SET.

Santiago's right. The cheapest front rotors I've found is from the Tire Rack for $53 each (last I checked the price). That's $10-20 cheaper than any other supplier I've found.

As far as suspension, K2RD also has a pretty good price on their coil-over sleeves wioth springs. It'd still be a bit more money than just going with a set of aftermarket springs.
