Fcd

Why cut off fuel? Why not spark? Doesn't an FCD means boom boom? Please shed light on this.

cuz no one's made a SCD(spark cut defenser) And yes it does mean "boom boom". That's what a fuel cut DEFENSER does. It makes sure that when you boost beyond 8 psi that fuel is not cut off the the rear rotor. Of course this is trickin the computer into thinking you're running less boost and would be running lean, which is why you don't need to redline it that much when you have over 8psi a FCD and no Apexi S-AFC

No idea why Mazda didn't cut spark. I've been asking myself that for years. Perhaps to sell more engines?

Anyway, if you use an FCD, please be aware that you will need fuel upgrades as the FCD shows the ECU less boost then your engine is actually seeing. Thus, you are getting LESS fuel, and you have to compensate for that...

Recipe for blown engine:

newbie + Racing Beat full 3" + FCD = boom
