Thumbs up fc VS. fd

so, iv HERD that fd's are better at handeling, but iv also herd the same about fc's, i was wondering stock VS. stock which one is better, also if tuned which has more potential??? (FYI it takes 265 licks to get to the center of a tootsie pop, and i can only stand on my head for 67 seconds before i get a head ache and start to pass out))

stock for stock i would go with the FD. Not only does the FD handle better but it also produces faster lap times, although that is also due to more power! i would like to see a FC w/ suspension tweeks against one. The FC does have the advantage of lightness, especially the S4.

Although fun factor would have to go to the FB or FC on a twisty road. they may not be able to corner as fast, but they are tossable, lighter, and fun

an FD is lighter than an FC. it also has more power, and double wishbone suspension. an FD is a newer and more improved FC. Stock VS Stock, an FD is hands down, much better. HOWEVER, $$ to $$ an FC has better bang for buck. the difference in price is fairly big. if you spent the difference modding an FC, you'd have a faster and better handling car.

it depends on how you look at it. stock to stock the fd's 50 extra hp does a lot, but beyond that
1. they wiegh within 50-75lbs of each other(depending on model)
2. they have the same coefecient of drag (.31)
3. they are the same wheel base and almost the same track
4. they basically share brakes
the pluses of the fd:
it looks better, those 50hp
the pluses of the fc
it actually holds people better

I agree with j9fd3s.

FD comes out only a little bit better, but sorta pricey. FC is the total Bang For That buck, with a nice style to it.

I plan on owning all three rexes, they all look so purdy in my eyes.

Yes it is....

and, the FD is better than the FC stock for stock.

255hp... 55 more than previous model. just as aerodynamic. handling IS better too.

But of course, it's MOSTLY in theDRIVER.

The FD is lighter! But with some mods to a T2 it would def be a good challenge!! I got a buddie with a 95 R2 and he kicks my *** off the line because of the twins but if it is from a role it is a whole nother story!!

Plus where I am from the fc is a total sleeper NOBODY even has a clue. I have kicked the crap out of almost every car in town

The fd has the advantage a little bit, because it is an improved fc. However, a lot of drivers suck. Due to driver error, its really a toss up between which would out perform the other.

The FD's suspension is considerably more advanced than the FC's. The FC has McPherson struts up front and semi-trailing arms out back, both of which were great in their day, but (for sports cars) that day was a long time ago. The FD has all-aluminium double wisbone suspension at all four corners. This set-up is lighter, for better response, and is much better at keeping the camber/castor/toe/etc at where they should be under heavy cornering loads, meaning more grip.

Stock for stock, the FD3S is a clear winner.&nbsp 255hp versus 200hp (Kouki FC3S) is too much of a power advantage, and the FD with it's double wishbone suspension in all four corners wins in the suspension department.

Going with mods, the FC can attain 90% of the performance level of the FD3S.&nbsp The only department the FC wins is the price category - it's a lot cheaper to modify an FC than an FD at this point in time.

from what i remember it want built by RE amemiya, but its been sitting in the RE amemiya shop for something like 8 years. its got a huge turbo and 20B engine and crazy suspension, designed for running pikes peak. but it never made it to the mountain, and now its rusting and decaying.

Agree -

Lower Price & Performance - 2nd GEN FC3S
Cheaper Parts - FC3S
Larger # owners - FC3S
More Aftermarket stuff - FC3S
More Suport - FC3S

For me, if price is not an issue then it comes down to looks.
FC3S - Beefy Supercar
FD3S - Exotic Supercar

Where can one find the drag coefficient for a given vehicle? I've seen that mentioned here a couple of times, and I was wondering where you can find that info.
