I did. Could it be that something is shorted and thus draining my battery and causing these problems?

yeah electrical issues especially within the harness will cause a barrage of drivable issues and could result in a power drain. Check the harness to see any breaks in the wire insulation that could expose the copper. Use a multimeter to check for possible shorts.

to me it sounds like 1 of 3 things, you eliminated TPS so that leaves two things.
Vac leak or AFM malfuntion
Again it still sounds like that water thermo switch is disconnected or not sending signal.

Ok ,so last night I checked thermo sensor...OK, checked timing...OK, then a friend of mine told me to check the OMP.....VOILA!!!!

I guess s4 OMPs dont like being on S5 motors? Anywho I put in my S5 N/A OMP and problem solved! I was so relieved. Now I need to figure out why my lights dim out then brighten up on Idle and when I rev up....thats a whole other story.

Thx to all for your help and support. I hope we all learn from my mistakes

Eddie

did you not know that the S5 ecu needs to see the electrical OMP otherwise it goes into limp mode? if you pulled the codes it should have told you that from the get go.

you dont need a code reader. all you need is a length of wire to ground the single pin green connector by the battery. pull the codes first. you may have to clear them by disconnecting the battery and discharging the capacitor by stepping on the brake.

The motor was supposed to go into my old S4 race shell but I scrapped it and put it into my nicer S5. Turns out the block was S5 anyway.

I know there are probably a few kinks to work out but I've covered the major issues
