FC smoking advice anyone?

when i crank up my fc it smokes a hell of alot untill i drive it for a couple of minutes. someone said it was my omp and my dad insists that its my turbo. I dont think its my turbo because it stops after a couple of minutes but idk any help would be cool.
Also itdoesnt seem to be burning oil any faster than it usually does so

What color smoke?

I dont recomend this.... But I know a fella who put a small container of brake fluid in with his oil... The brake fluid makes the soft seals swell.. It stopped all his smoking issues. He changed the oil the same day he put the Brake fluid in.. ( brake fluid is crazy corrosive btw) Ran it about 150 miles then changed the oil...

I don't recommend it, but it worked.. No telling what that does to the internals though... His car is still running... that was over 3 years ago....

I've been having the same problem. If I let the car warm up just sitting in the driveway it smokes like a motherf@#$!@# for 10 minutes. If I start it up and then get out and drive it it only smokes for about 2 blocks (20seconds or so). I'm looking to put a rebuilt turbo on it and see if that cures the problem as once the car is warmed up there is no smoke to be seen and I noticed the other day there was the tiniest bit of visible smoke coming out from behind the compressor housing on the turbo...

Perhaps when driving immediately the exhaust gets hotter faster and so the seals in the turbo expand sooner than if I let the car idle to warm up, which would indicate again a problem with the turbo seals. Might be related to your problem...

White is water
Grey is Gas
Blue is oil

You probably have some water seeping past the seals when the car sits. The seals are probably shriveled and when they get hot they expand... Time for a rebuild.

What does the smoke smell like? Sweet like coolant? Like unburnt gas?Or just plain smokey like oil? It could have something to do with running rich until warm up. A car uses less fuel when warmer.

my car had the same problem. later i found that it was the oil O rings or the washers i cant remember. but they connected 2 the oil cooler lines. but by the time i found it was 2late and i needed 2 start a rebuild on mine. on start ups it would smoke like hell! and after of like 5mins of siting there and 5of driving it would go away. but it would happen everyday. mine was n/a. if it was turbo it might be the turbo leaking in to the exhaust.

i just got the same problem after parking it for about a week on the driveway, i havent drove it cause it needs a new radiator, notice a leak underneath but i also had a vacuum line problem cause its not boosting above 4K RPM's. Now im thinking its the secondaries cause it seems like it wants to but it doesnt and the boost gauge says it is boosting but its not. everything works fine underneath 4K. what could it be?

I have the same problem with my car, but I'm getting a rebuild hopefully done within the next 2 weeks. If it fixes the problem, I'll try to remember to let you know. If you don't hear back from me by the end of the first week in Sept, PM me.

When apex seals get to that point the engine barely has enough compression to run.

If it were my apex seals i would have at least lost power which has not happened. But a rebuild wouldn't hurt except I cant afford it because I just started college.

It wasn't your apex seals... It was more than likely your side seals leaking coolant.

Then I think of the horrible things I would have done to you before the police showed up to collect your bloody corpse..

Also, i didn't request for your to GTFO.. It was a direct order. I'm not your mother, but I sure as hell wish i was your father so I could make you go stay with your Uncle Remus again for the summer and get molested repeatedly.

All said and done, you had no idea what you were talking about. You spread a very common stereotype about the Rx-7, that everything that goes wrong is the apex seals... that is why I told you to GTFO and STFU.

No offense. thanks for all the PM's... And please stop sending me naked pictures of yourself torturing cats.

Ok, I take all that back except for the parts that are legitimate and true.. I'm much better then all that...
