I've been thinking about buying a roof rack for my 87 RX7 TII for snowboarding season. I've tried finding pictures on how it looks and cannot find anything that is of quality. Have any of you guys tried/seen this done before? I have a sunroof and I'm getting concerned for clearance. Anything I should look out for? I plan on going with Yakima seeing as that they seem to have some that would fit.

I wanted a roof rack for my fc, it also has a sunroof. I tried to find one. Couldnt find one. Tried to get one ordered new from yakima and thule. They couldnt order enough adaptors to make it fit and most of the parts they did have in the system were discontinued. Good luck. If you do find one or get one adapted to fit, i will need the info so i can do the same

 

I had a Yakima off a Subaru on two of mine , worked great even with the roof and clamped right on, ill try to find a pic for you.

 

Thule part numbers required:
950 (feet, possibly discontinued)
761 (bars)
003 (mounting kit, discontinued)
477 (short roof adapter, probably discontinued)

Thats one of the many things you DO NOT put on a RX7.....

 

Japan did made a rack roof for FC as package options though....
