Enkeis will be pretty light. The 5-spokes from Sportmaxx, not so much.

You on any kind of a budget?

5zigen FNO1RC's are five spoke, super light and relatively inexpensive. they work great for track use too.

17X8 +35 is a good fitment for FC

There are a few websites you can go to...

Edgeracingwheels.com
discounttiredirect.com
racinglab.com

I just ordered some 17x10 35mm offset from racing lab. I just ordered 2 for the rear. I want to see if they fit nicely in the front if they do then i'm going to get the other 2 for the back.

I just realized I don't have just a plain ol' picture of my car with my rims on it, but here's my attempted HDR pic, the only one I have showing my rims. Very simple, relatively light, and five spoke. I LOVE them, and I couldn't beat 'em for the price.

Flik FTD's. They set me back a little over $200 w/ tires when they were still available. Got em from Edge Racing. They were having like a super-clearance on that model so I'm not sure if you can still get em, but you could probably find some on ebay or something...

Looks nice Saavedro. To do HDR, you need three pictures (overexposed, underexposed, and normal exposure) and some kind of layering software. PM me if you need help :]

Also I'm gonna be getting a TII soon, 1 more step ahead of you!

thanks. btw, my name is crista. not new to fc's, i'm picking up my 6th one in a few weeks. this'll be my 4th vert, black, but i'm painting it red. i'm putting an fc2000 re front on it, the one from shine auto, skirts to match.

miata rims, the stock ones, they arent 17 inch though, are they. i had a few miatas, thought they were 16 maybe, but....

and would they, or the rx8 rims just bolt up?

i see a lot of the rims on these sites need spacers. are there any just bolt on rims, that dont need any spacers?

i think of spacers and i think of mexican rides where the friggin wheels stick out past the fenders, and that's not something i fancy. just wondering, though not my 1st 7, it has been about 3 years since my last one.

thanks

and thanks for the links

i think i got it down to these. they all have fairly big lips and dont seem to weigh too much. budget isn't really a problem, i'm just trying to get the nicest look for the red paint.

225 40 17 rear
125 45 17 front

I have matte black FN01R-Cs on my 7 and I love them

I have silver/gray Enkei RP01s on my corolla that are pretty nice too, both are like 5 spokes, and come in 17".

I really hope those tires sizes above are a typo... you just made me really depressed.

not the best picture ever... I'll upload a better one and send it to you when I get home.

They're 17x8 +35 on the front with 225s and 17x10 +35 on the back with 255s

here are the Enkei RP01s on my corolla, they're pretty nice. (those are 15x7, but they make them in 17s

MUSTANG GT WHEELS!!!!111

Super cheap (like ~$250 a set on ebay), reasonably light, and sexy sunken 5 spoke design. 17x8 +30

obviously, mine are painted and shod with v710s, but silver and street tires is nice too

You can get the New miata (NC, 2006-) with optional 5 lug 17"s

but those probably cost a whole lot more than a decent set of aftermarket wheels

I don't run centering rings, but I probably should. The centerbore is quite a bit larger that stock. Mine were 20 lbs, but I've seen lower numbers, so there may be 2 different casts or something. Even then, thats plenty respectable for the price. They clear by a mile inside, and are close but ok on the outside, which probably depends on tire choice as well. I run a 225/45/17, but could easily do a 245/40 or maybe a 245/45 and be ok.

stay away from sportmax and rotas.... more on the heavy side and the quality is questionable. there are people who will say different though cuz they have em. there are alot of good affordible brand rims like 5zigen fn01r etc. enkies. mustang size wheels are good. 17x8 with 25 offset at minimum
