FC question.... need some pros to respond

Whats going on. Today i am looking into buying this FC but i have a few questions on it, and want some rotor fanatics advice.. I am looking into buying El Nene's red FC. It is a 550whp FC w/ methenol injection. I was curious if i should do this or not... Well this is his link and all the info and pics are in it. He is asking $8500 for it. He also said that all of the mods are brand new.

Here is the link to his post::

https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=699442

I am really trying to get into this rotors and i have a buddy that is really good but is out of town so want to get some of the club members thoughts until i can ask him.. I have cash in hand so i need to know if this is a good deal, and wont need to much for me to drop into it.

He said that all the car is missing is the Wiring Harnesses because the ones he has are to short and he needs new 1s so that should cost me about 200 bucks and a Fuel line which shouldnt cost me over 80 dollars. He told me that i would make aprox 500-550whp on this setup..

Is it a good bye or should i pass and keep looking

Thanks to all of the seniors of the rotary family

It's a good buy, lots of money and hours in it, but there are always more little things than just a fuel line and harness I'm sure. Nothing against the build, but we know how these things go. It's definitely a good start! I say go for it.

It's a helluva good deal; I REALLY wished I had the money for that car. I seriously tried to find a way to buy it, myself, but couldn't afford it reasonably.

That said, MAKE SURE you know exactly what you're getting into. Yes, it's pretty. Yes, it has tons of potential to be fast. That said, it WILL need you to spend some time with it. If you think you can finish his project, then go for it! I want to see that car on the road!!

nope.. had a 13b street ported 3 gen about 6 months back... pretty nice with a gt35 sitting in the mid 400s.. but this would be much nicer honestly

I think it is a good bye.. But i am going to show my guy this tomorrow and see what he says.. I am taking a guess i am going to have to drop a good $2,000 and change into this car to get it running at 450whp at 18lbs..

I am really hoping cause i want to get a 11 sec FC running around here.. and then when i get the methanol hooked up on high boost with the right fuel setup i should be in mid 500s.. but honestly bro 450whp as of now is good for me on a FC.. im going to see if i can get this guy to take pics tomorrow of what it looks like now.. and ill post on here..

Keep posting what you guys think

Its just an awesome car, I cant see how this could be a bad deal. It needs the finishing touches and you will have a really unique clean car-oh yeah really fast as well.

Alright cool, for some reason it came across as you lookin' to get a start on 7's with this particular car...all I could think is high hp FC + newbie = future thread title "I think I just blew my engine? " Yeah it looks like an amazing deal, but I can't say much I'm still very inexperienced compared to everyone else.

Well actually if u read in the threads everything is brand new.. all new seals new springs new large ported motor.. The motor isnt really a concern because this guy stated that everything is brand new so no worries on that.. Also having a setup on tune is not a problem cause i have a awesome rotary tuner.. but if you read the forums you'll see where im going with this.. I am trying to make this a every day driver for just about 6 months and then just a weekend car... So im trying to run this safe with as much power as i can so i cant blow anything.. and plus a Large ported motor can take a lot..

i dont think so.. I talked to this guy and he stated that the current wires were taken to a local shop and they made it even shorter so he cant have this car with the right wires.. He also stated that all the car needs is a full wiring harness and fuel line but of course theres prob a few more things.

My bad, I rarely leave the lounge where sarcasm is almost always implied. It looks to be an awesome car, I wish the best of luck.
