sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, i dont know about everywhere else, but here where i live, 1400$ gets a professional paint job, there is a guy that does a 1400$ full body straightening/paint with jambs for 1400$.

if there are vinyl stickers you want he will not put them on, he will paint them on, and perfect, he's no half *** painter, his work, compared to anything ive ever seen, is of equal quality, ive seen cars at car shows where the people tell me they paid 8000-12000 for paint work, his work is of equal quality.

im so lucky to live in a place where you can get great quality for cheap

the thing about painting instead of just using the decals, is it makes it harder to change your mind when you get sick of them.

i agree, im just trying to give you an idea of the work he does for 1400$ since their saying you cant get a good paint job without spending near 4000$

I really want a black with a metallic blue look. Where if you glance at it, its black, but if you stare at it or hit it in just the right light, it is a dark blue.

That, or just black.

Ok if you wanna go red there is one color that is the absoulte ****. Super Clear Red II, its a Nismo 400r color and is only avalible on Nismo model Nissan cars as a facotry color. It is so nice. Ill post some more Nissan colors because they have some sweet looking colors.

I can't spell right but the dark green of the infini IV would look great. I've always wanted to paint mine the color the 3rd gen type RZ, isn't it something like Snow White Pearl Mica?

omg... the skyline blue is sooo hot! I have a poster in my room of it. I agree... Nissan has been pretty genius when it comes to their catchy and bold colors. I kinda hate the copper/orange for the 350, though. It would look nice on an FC with a body kit, but I couldn't wake up every morning to that color. I'd get bored with it.

Stolen from the other thread...

Wasn't it like US$9,000 for just the paint job?

oh you like the blue huh how about that color on a FC I happen to be putting it on my GTU and I had it photoshopped to make sure I am getting what I paid for. The rims I am not to sure about but they look hawt. I may go with R32 wheels in yokohama rubber. Or I may go old school with the Super Advans like the tripoint ones. Oh yeah that would be hot.

I know it is a little darker But I had Krok(thanks so much again) photshop it and this was another blue for the 400r. So it was close enough for me to say"damn I am so glad i didnt spend all that money on the paint sitting beside me then decide I dont like it".

Mmmm paint....I had an idea for when I get myself a 90 TII. I had thought of going with either a flat black or satin black, no gloss...gloss is evil to keep clean. Then I would have to find a nice tribal design for the whole car but its color would be a deep black cherry red, with a preferable metal flake in it. Then to top it all off use a set of RS Watanabe rims, not the 4-lug but the 5s.

Well I am working on the car on and off now it is a good 45min from my house at my uncles body shop. I have been playing around with some cardboard and my old paint color. The silver blue my GTU is right now. I used the cardboard to see what it looks like with mouldings removed and filled. It is nice on a red and darker color but not the current color of my car. The mouldings will be painted to match along with a couple of other Items from jpan. I will not use the word JDM. It is the anticrist.

Rims are from a R34 Skyline and are avalible only on the s-tune. I am pretty sure. They are a nismo rim(outsorced to rays I believe.). I want fricken r32 rims but cant find a good set anywhere.

*wiggles in seat* THAT'S THE COLOR I WANT ON MINE! If I go blue, anyway. Like... almost EXACT! I've been looking at either the skyline blue or dodge SRT-4 blue. *drool*

By the way, how the hell do I post pictures on here? I am going to post what mine looks like now.

Since this threads been resurrected I'll chime in. I'd like to paint mine the color of my wife's Mazda3. It's black with a metallic look to it. I think Brilliant Black Mica is what Mazda calls it. In the short term I need to fix my rust spots and I'll probably rattle can it satin black until such time I can get it done right.
