How about safety orange with safety yellow rims!Seriously, British racing green with bronze rims would look hot, but you'd have to get a tan leather interior.
What I plan on doing is a grey pearl, the same tone as the factory grey, and red rims, like a ducatti. I'm re-doing the interior with all the hard bits in black, and keeping the carpet and felt bits factory red.

From Yellow to IBM.
Well I have to say, my FC started out like this:
You sure you want yellow? (I saw someone suguest it... Maybe it looks better if its in good shape.. I will pass thanks.) Ugly is saying it nicely. I know.... I took forever to find a color I liked. Everyone gave me crap even at the local meets becuase of how ulgy the paint/car was... I finally saw a picture of the IBM on an FD and had to have it.
Now the car is looking a bit happier:
I like it this way better myself....
I now have some nice Turbo II wheels on there, so those pictures are slightly outdated.
If you like the color have at it.

TRUE! the stock grey color was tornado silver metallic, i personally love it, im either gonna paint my car over that same color or go with 2004 mustang dark grey metallic. Its very similar but a little more metallic. Also you can tell that pic isnt stock because the mazda grey only came on the s4 and that pic has color matched mouldings. But im color matching mine too

There are only three colors i would paint my car.
Acura Integra Type-R Championship White.
Dodge Viper Midnight Blue.
Volvo Blue.
Then I would get a custom made Carbon Fiber hood from Vis & some black housing projectors from Cp Racing

My next project will be a 1989 or newer convertible with a wide body kit (Tri-point or something close to that look) and I want to paint it Lamborghini Gallardo orange.

Really though, my '91 coupe is supposed to be Brave Blue Mica. Unfortunately, it is faded horribly on the hood and the roof. But after a fresh wash, with a bright sun shining on the side of my FC, it's so beautiful (and shiny mica!). I'm just going to repaint it the same color when I do so. That way I don't have to strip anything down, and on top of that it is already a beautiful color.
ACK! I'm getting pissed off because I don't really have any good pictures of the un-faded parts of my car (I need a picture with bright light on the side of my car!). But here are some to give you an idea:
