Talking FC Mods

I'm looking for suggestions on things I can do to improve my power without dropping in huge amounts of money for a turbo conversion for example. my motor is already streetported, intake, ported intake manifold, ported exhaust ports, wired open 5/6 ports. What are some other things I could do besides exhaust to lay down some bigger numbers.

SAFC and get it dynotuned. You should gain at least 10whp if it is properly tuned with those mods plus the exhaust.

Also why did you wire your 5th and 6th ports open? You are losing low end power so why dont you try and fix the problem so you keep the low end and get the high end? Not knocking you but just letting you know if you didnt already.

Without a good exhaust system on a rotary you are wasting all your time and efforts. Definitely the best bang for your buck, especially with an NA.

Unwire the 5th/6th ports and make them work properly unless you have a HUGE port job. HOw about a cone style intake?

HP not consumed adding momentum to the flywheel = HP that can be used to accelerate the car itself.

I think the original poster wants to go quicker. Yes, the lightened flywheel doesn't give you more power, but it does noticable make the car quicker.

I don't see you offering suggestions.

different intake manifolds with either carbs, or webber style Throttle bodies are great for ading power, but maybe not as cheap as you would like.

Get a S-AFC and tune it on a Dyno... You'll probably find that you'll need more fuel in the upper RPMs. You *might* need bigger secondary injectors.

Then add NOS.

Sorry to say, but you're about done with HP mods.

No, he will probably need to set it down close to -10% to get some good gains. All FCs are very rich in stock form and NAs are almost always close to stock no matter the bolt-ons.

I believe the words were "...improve my power...", which does not necessarily mean "increase the power".

As you increase rpm, power from the engine goes into the flywheel. A lighter flywheel takes less power to spinup, so more power goes to the wheels even though the engine isn't producing anymore power.
