fc hp gain?

Smile fc hp gain?

so if colder is better for an rx7, would blowing super chilled air into my intake improve hp. for example having a bottle of liquid o2 on a switch, directly injected into my intake. would this increase hp for the bit of time i would have it injecting?? more air=more hp right?!

no thats not exactly it, im talking about a system connected to a bottle of liquid o2 that you can spray at will via switch direcly into your intake, much like a nos would give you a shot of nos, w/ the exceptioin of this system being at the intake. another example would be ow people with turbos will mist or spray down there intercoolers with a bottle of whatever substance to super cool there intercooler, gives them a bunch more hp. this system would mist from a liquid o2 source into your intake. have i lost you or are you still trackin?

the reason that cryO2 makes more power is because it cools the air allowing the the hot air from the turbo to cool down...thus making you able to run higher boost. go to wikipedia and type it in..you can read all about it.

and why dont you just stick some ice cubes in front of your intake. If you want power P port it...easy as that...you dont need some dumb switch...

Yes, if colder air is flowing through your car's Air Flow Meter the engine will see about 1%hp increase for each 10degF decrease. However, oxygen is NOT air. Without the other gasses in the air to absorb the heat of combustion, your engine would fry. This is why N2O is used in cars rather than straight O2. A typical 100% O2 combustion process burns at about 5,000degF. Additionally, you would need an advanced standalone EMS with a nitrous oxide type toggle function that would enrichen the air-fuel ratio when the O2 was injected because the stock AFM would have no way of compensating for this and therefore the engine would run super lean.

Summary: Do NOT do this!

Absolutely no harm at all, when used with the proper precautions. Do some reading, there is lots, and lots, and lots available on the subject of how to make a safe nitrous setup.

Im just gonna say injecting lox into an engine full of engine oil and grease, when lox reacts violently to that, might not be in your best interest =)
