in the pic it appears that the piece you made is a little longer than the greddy. Just curious as to why it was done this way?

TOTALLY off topic, but why can't plastic's hold boost? My $12 PVC potato cannon holds all the pressures involved with that and manages to not get plastic imbedded in my face, why couldn't a plastic piece hold the <15PSI that the vast majority of FC's will see?

I highly doubt 20 people will be using an FD UIM, so it looks as though I'll have to get the spacer along with the elbow.

 

Ok, I see, after looking at the pic again, The greddy unit is not sitting even with yours giving me the illusion that yours was longer....my mistake. One more question though. Do you think it might be better to put a bigger bead around the inlet? I see that yours is the same as the greddy but I was thinking a bigger bead like one you may find on the inlet and outlet of an intercooler might make the hose connections more secure.

 

Good plastics can hold boost just fine.

Just a thought, but what about selling to a US RX7 parts distributor? Noone seems to caryy any, and if they do they are $300 ... I would send out a couple E-mails, that way you could at least get rid of the extra's and maybe even spark a large demand.

No, I agree completely, people have their chance to buy one now at your cost. If they pass that up, thats their bad.. if you have more than you can sell on here, drop some off and they have to deal with the markup and the middle man, no skin off your nuts, and no ones fault but the people who didn't buy them cheaper when they had the chance ..

I'm getting mine either way, so what do I care
