FC back seats

Only NA's had backseats. I *have* seen VERY few TurboII's with backseats, but it was a weird special-ordered option.
The back seats are USELESS. The seatback is totally vertical, and there is NO room in there.

You can find them on ebay quite often. Try Ernst at www.rx7world.com, he probably has some laying around or thepartstrader.com. You can still buy the mounting hardware through mazda as an option if you come across just the seat.
You can fit some small kids with the front seats slid up a bit. I stuck my girlfriend back there and she puts her legs sideways towards the middle of the front seats. Small butts are required for those seats. They blend well if you have a rear hatch cover and also provide good bass acoustics if you put a bass tube behind them. I have heard that the older porsche 944 back seats would fit...but I don't know how they would mount.

Has anyone ever mounted a pair of racing seats at a laidback angle? I was messing around with that idea after seeing a stock set of seats. An SCCA guy told me I would need convertable springs or coilovers regardless of what rear seats I went with just due the increase in weight. All things to consider. IMO, I prefer the stock "toolboxes", that hold all interior things safely to prevent accident projectiles.

Logic like that would have you swapping springs when you filled up the gas tank.
FWIW, my three year old was complaining about being crunched into the seat by my seatback on Tuesday.

Yes, they were an option which I bought. Believe it or not, I rode back there a couple of times. It wasn't too bad.. a guy wouldn't make it though- No offense

Well, I know they wiegh more but I really like the car and I need the back seats for my two kids who aren't that big at all, they are only a couple years old. Anyways the one I have right now is a auto, so obviously untill i change to a standard I would be silly to worry about spead. How ever I am picking up a turbo II out of maryland soon, I cant wait, thats where I'm gonna have the real fun. Well, thanks guys, I appreciate the help.
