Is The FC Available With A Back Seat?

I don't have a rx7 (yet) but in about a month i estimate i will have my 7.
considering i sell my car now and find a good rx7 and save up the rest of the money from work..

So anyway my question is pretty dumb, but i would like to know Does the rx7 have a back seat

Rear seats were an option on some models.

The options and standard features can be found in the sticky thread found at the top of this section called Standard Features and Options.

OR is there a way to switch it out so it does?

Luckily the people who would fit in my back seat are about 4ft tall :p

Or i can just like crush my friends legs when we go anywhere HAHAHA yeah, payback.

I would imagine you could put them in if you could find some. But you will crush their legs. FC's really aren't intended to haul around 4 people comfortably. They are intended to be super sweet.

Most I've carried in mine... 3. Me and two ladies. One in the passenger seat and one laying across the bins holding on!

You can swap in a backseat from another FC that has one. The metal structure under the Bins or the seats is the same. You would just have to locate the parts as the rear seat is a rather un-common option in North America.

Yes, the rear seats will fit in the turbo, though the turbo did not have rear seats as an option in the US.

Yeah i have two haul around kids a couple a times heh.

But yeah i understand its a true sports car, and its made to be super sweet not for economy
But even if the seats are very small, i would like to have them.

Don't know if any of you guys have experienced this, trying to fit as many of your friends in a car at once? Hahahaha good times..
a two door four seats ( very small) and there was about 7 of us :P
we got it to work though, luckily we didn't have to do that for long.

But yeah i seriously doubt thats going to happen with a rx7

I have rear seats in mine. You can only fit ONE normal sized person back there, sitting sideways. Butt in one seat, legs in the other.

I've fit two passengers and a "full sized" bicycle in my seven before. Funniest ride of my life, considering that one of my friends had to lay on top of the bike and a handle bar was jabbing him in the bawlz. lol, if anything the lack of room is an excuse for a good laugh...

ok ok...

If we want to pretent our 7's are phone booths, or old VW bugs, you CAN fit more then one person in the backseat. But, the way those little seats are pinched off, & those heinous seatbelts jam up yer butt, & the lack of ANY leg room at all... It's just not reasonable to expect more than one person to tolerate sitting back there for longer than say, 5 minutes.

LOL...

Depending on the shape and color of your interior, I may be willing to trade my back seats for bins... If the car is in atleast as good of shape as mine I may even be willing to trade cars all together... I live in Arlington, TX...

Most US FCs did NOT have a back seat, but a few do. Rear seats are more common in the Japanese ones, I believe.

As I like to say, the back seats are good for groceries and amputees. As you can see from the picture, they are NOT compatable with car seats. The only way anyone can sit in them is if someone in the front seats is short and scoots the seat up. Otherwise there just isn't any room, regardless of how short your legs are. Its a shame they don't fold down, though. My '89 Mustang had almost as useless seats but they could be folded down to extend the trunk area. For the record my cousin (previous owner) fit 8 people in that car. 3 in the front, 3 in the back and 2 in the hatch.
If you really want them, they can be installed in any car, as can bins, or nothing like my car came with originally.
