Mine do too... Hell, on the side I'm a musician (bass player) & I can fit my whole bass rig back there, once its folded down that is.

Oh, ok. I guess I didn't realize they folded down. That makes them not quite as bad....

And I too have experiences in a car with similar amounts of rear seat room. My dad used to have an Austin-Healey 3000. If you have ever seen the back seats they are basically a small package shelf. They were flat so you didn't even have the advantage of these where your legs are tilted up. The front seats also didn't move as they were bolted to the floor. Once I turned 5 or 6 I had to put my legs between the 2 front seats and once I was 7 I just couldn't fit in them at all.

With slight alterations to the stock drivers seat, or with an other than stock drivers seat, an Rx7 with a back seat can have the drivers seat go back about 4" further.

The back seat is fine for kids under 10 if the driver/passenger are small.
