FB alternator on a 89 T2

just wondering if they are compatible. the T2 i'm getting has a blown alternator and my friend has a alternator from his FB that he will give me. just wondering if there is a way i can get it to work just so i can get the T2 started and check it out

It'll probably fit but be way under powered. get another 89+ TII one.

it will bolt on but the electrics are different. they are rated at the same amperage too

well i'm getting the car friday night. if the alternator is bad. i just want to be able to bolt one in just to make sure the car is ok.
